Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress who is best known for her film roles on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the TV show The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis, an American actor and producer who has worked in theater and TV and films as also, has been active in both the film and theater screen. Her acting career began in the theatre. Later, she was a part of several television shows as well as independent and mainstream movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just praise from critics but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995, she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. The actress has appeared as a character on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis.
