Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and a singer. Also, she was co-starring with Prince in his 1984 film, Purple Rain. Her most famous work is the main character in the 1984 Prince Purple Rain film and lead singer in the girl-group Apollonia 6 Apollonia, a singer/actress christened by Prince in 1984 became one of the many female singers of the 1980s who benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as an actress and model. In the late 70s she was a guest on CHiPS. In 1984, she was chosen as the main female lead in Prince's Purple Rain. During that period, Prince changed his name. Also, she replaced Vanity and the duo Vanity 6 in the film. Apollonia released a bilingual album in Spanish and English called Stay with Me in 1997. Then, she went back to college and received an education in filmmaking.
